Bernina Bib shorts
Bernina is the alpine train line that runs from St. Moritz to Tirano, Italy. As the name implies, the shorts are bi-national and meant for climbers.
The bibs themselves are made from Lycra and Swiss-made Eschler e1 fabric. Eschler will absorb the sweat and push it towards the surface where it will quickly dry. The bibs, like all of our clothing, is hand stitched in Italy by our partner GSG.
While most companies buy their pads overseas, GSG designs and produces their own pads with their sister company: La Fonte. Each of their pad designs are developed at Milan’s polytechnic university, tested with professional athletes and then manufactured at La Fonte’s own facility. Their collaboration is…seamless !
The Bernina bibs have shaped cuts for a perfect fit, stitched reflective piping, lycra compression inserts on the side panels, laser cut hems and perforated braces with an intricate inter-locking Swiss-cross design.
